Pacific Online Systems Corp. (LOTO) chaired by bilyonaryo Willy Ocier has moved closer to bagging a permanent online lotto contract with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The PCSO Special Bids and Awards Committee notified LOTO that it had been chosen as the only qualified bidder for the five-year contract for the lease provision of a web-based app for electronic lotto, or e-lotto.
“Our eLotto system is fully integrated with GCash and other payment platforms. We are ready to go anytime,” said Ocier.
“As the Single Calculated Bid, the bid submitted by (LOTO) will be subjected to post qualification review by the PCSO-SBAC. Should there be no issues raised during post-qualification, it is expected that the PCSO-SBAC will be issuing its Notice of Award,” said LOTO.
The company was initially given a one-year test run for the e-lotto, during which it received 14 percent of e-lotto sales. However, this trial period was cut short to six months to accommodate the bidding process. The only other bidder, Philippine Gaming and Management Corp., did not qualify.
LOTO and PGMC are partners in the supply of lottery equipment used by PCSO nationwide.
