A Singapore-based software company recently introduced a fully integrated esports super-app, Kalaro.
The global launch in Manila marks a significant milestone in the e-sports industry, as stated by Jun Lasco, the founder and CEO of Kalaro.

“The Kalaro super app goes beyond gaming mastery by serving as an esports monetization engine, offering various features such as an in-app social media module, e-wallet, in-app currency, brand storefront, and tournament management module,” explained Lasco.
Kalaro’s automated tournament management module enables organizers to efficiently and profitably run tournaments.
Additionally, Kalaro serves as a brand engagement platform, connecting with 43 million Filipino gamers.
Users will soon have the option to purchase gaming merchandise within the Kalaro app.
Kalaro introduces its own in-app currency, Kalaro Gems, and Gem loyalty points which can be used for purchasing merchandise from brand storefronts.
The e-wallet on Kalaro can be loaded using popular wallets like GCash, Grabpay, Alipay, online banking transactions, and even through 7-11 stores nationwide.
Kalaro will be showcased live at the Philippine Gamedev Expo (PGDX) 2024 at the SMX Convention Center from July 26 to 28.
The open beta testing of Kalaro commenced in October 2021, with feedback from over 10,000 testers, with a majority from the Philippines.
Following the Olympics Esports Week in June 2023, Kalaro partnered with the Global Esports Federation. In November 2023, Kalaro secured its first US investor, paving the way for the launch of a new version and the introduction of “KLR” as its global icon.
